Dr Schubert, you became our primary care physician when you assumed Dr Trotter’s practice as he retired. You, Margot and the girls were always kind and responsive to us: to me, as one who does not do well with blood work, to our daughter, Robin, when she was not well while visiting us, and especially to Bob, at the discovery that the unusual growth on his torso was a form of Lymphoma. I was… See more

My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
Most agree that the best way to maintain your car is not to drive it until it doesn’t run anymore, and then see if it can be fixed. This is unfortunately a very common approach to taking care ourselves; many of us take no time to reflect on our health until we're sick. Our current healthcare system is based on this concept as well, which is why I chose to become an MDVIP-affiliated physician. Now, I have the time to care for you personally and proactively, which are the keys to helping you enjoy the healthiest life possible.
I am double board certified in Family Medicine and Clinical Lipidology. I focus on the early diagnosis and aggressive treatment of cardiovascular disease (the most common cause of disability and death in the United States). My expertise lies in diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol problems and additional causes of strokes, heart attacks and other forms of vascular disease. I use advanced diagnostics, including genetic testing, inflammatory markers, imaging and advanced particle analysis to find vascular disease early, allowing me adequate time to work with each patient to develop a specialized treatment plan. You can’t treat everyone's needs the same way. That is the value of MDVIP’s model of personalized medicine. Similar to concierge medicine practices, I also offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments that start on time.
We can now better find potentially deadly illnesses before symptoms emerge. This is a major focus of my practice - prevention. The best path to a longer, healthier life is through a healthier lifestyle, avoiding disease and seeking early detection. This cannot be done passively. As a private doctor, I help my patients become active, informed participants in their own healthcare, and I believe the close partnerships I share with my patients is critical to them being well and staying well.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Schubert
I contracted Covid in December 2020 when littel was known about the disease. After testing - I contacted the State agency (DHEC) and Dr. Schubert.
He prescribed some meds for cough and told me what to look for as complications.
He literally called or texted me or my wife every day listening to the emerging symptoms (aches, loss of smell, etc) and had me on the lookout for… See more
Dr. Schubert is approachable and will see you personally no matter what the ailment. He says “the oath” is the responsibility to keep it “family” and not a production facility. His cell phone is on day or night. He brings the value to the concierge cost.
Office staff very friend and approachable.Easy access to care -responds quickly.Dr makes you very relaxed and easy to ask questions.
He is the greatest. He has always been there when I have needed him. Always pleasant and very caring. He is an A+.
Dr Schubert is the best! He always listens to us and he shows he cares so very much. We are lucky to have him as our Dr.
I’ve had a health issue that came upon me suddenly. Dr. Schubert has been proactive with my care, suggesting testing, following through every step of the process. He has happily accepted second opinions and been open with me. He has been responsive to my texts and I appreciate his willingness to encourage me to keep in touch with him. I’m so happy he’s my doctor!!
Last Memorial Day weekend Dr Schubert met me in his office on Saturday and again on Monday. This took from his family time over the holiday weekend. He was actually the one suggesting he meet me at his office both times for a minor procedure since I was going out of town on Tuesday. Definitely above and Beyond Customer/Patient Care.
We were in need of a new doctor after moving to Bluffton, Sc from Pennsylvania. After a face to face with Dr Schubert, I knew that he was the doctor for me. I have lots of medical issues. Dr. Schubert went over each and everyone. I'm glad I found such thorough, kind doctor.
Dr Schubert treats his patients holistically. He listens patiently to lifelong stories 😊 and goes above and beyond to provide support. His staff is also amazing and they go out of their way to nurture the patients on every level. I am so appreciative to this fine group of people.
