I believe in providing personalized care to my patients. As a primary care physician, my approach is rooted in the idea of treating the patient as a whole person, considering their physical and mental health and overall well-being. I believe “the good physician treats the disease, the great physician treats the patient who has the disease,” as famous physician Sir William Osler notably said. 

My passion lies in establishing stronger relationships with my patients. I genuinely want to get to know each individual, listen to their concerns and understand their unique needs and goals. By working collaboratively, we can develop a personalized health plan that better encompasses their overall wellness objectives. I firmly believe in the power of prevention and strive to help empower my patients as they work to stay on top of their health, rather than focus on just treating illnesses or diseases when they arise. 

Throughout my career, I have explored various healthcare settings, including primary care, hospital medicine and academic medicine. Recently, as the Associate Program Director at Piedmont Athens Regional hospital, I have had the privilege of teaching and mentoring future internal medicine physicians. This experience has further shaped my approach to patient care, emphasizing the importance of providing more individualized attention and proactive care.

Having lived in the Oconee County, Georgia, area for over a decade, I have developed a deep connection to this community. I am pleased to serve my neighbors in Watkinsville, Athens, Farmington, Bishop, North High Shoals, Bogart and Clarke County. In my quest to find helpful ways to care for my community and patients, I discovered the MDVIP model.
