My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
My passion now, as an MDVIP family practice physician is to provide you personalized healthcare with an emphasis on prevention and wellness. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. In a warm welcoming atmosphere, I will treat you as if you are family. In medicine, the diagnosis is made with the history, sharpened by a precise skilled interview, and then the diagnosis is confirmed by the exam, therefore your medical history is a priority.
In addition to being a family medicine physician, I have special interests in infectious diseases, (especially tick-borne disease), kidney disease and heart disease. I feel challenged and qualified in the management of diabetes and hypertension. I spend time daily working with patient’s concerns about nutrition, sleep, exercise and stress management.
I am affiliated with Roger Williams Hospital and, for the past 21 years, I have primarily cared for patients in North Scituate, Rhode Island. However, I now see patients in many surrounding towns, including Smithfield, North Smithfield, Chepachet, Pascoag, Johnston, Providence, Warwick, Coventry, Foster, Exeter, Cranston and North Kingston, as well as those from Danielson, Connecticut and Attleboro and Boston, Massachusetts. I have also had several local patients move away and yet they travel as much as 100 miles to continue to be part of my exciting practice.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Crawford
Dr Kim Crawford is by far one of the most kind, patient and knowledgeable physicians that I have ever met. I have been with the MDVIP program for several years. His response time to calls and questions is remarkable. His availability for office visits when you are ill is outstanding. He is always willing to listen to your concerns and he values your feedback. I truly feel he is exceptional in… See more
When Dr. Crawford told me he was changing his practice to MDVIP honestly I joined just to retain my patient status with him. Flip forward a few years and I relocated to the midwest and with healthcare for many becoming a nurse at the local pharmacy with No trusted relationship like I have experienced by having the same physician for years.

Our PCP, Dr. Kim J. Crawford has been my husband's M.D. for about 24 years, and mine for over 15 years. He always listens to us carefully and fully, never do we feel rushed or dismissed. He has spotted dangerous conditions calling for immediate hospitalization on two occasions, and treated me for Lyme disease after a visit to an E.R. dismissed me as "dehydrated". Not only is Dr… See more
Dr. Crawford has been my Doctor for many years. He has been very patient with me during my drinking days. Still, he put up with my nonsense and made sure I was taken care of. Since then he has been always there when I need him. He is so nice and listens to his patients. I really hope he is not retiring in the near future. I really depend on him. Thank you.
In December 2017 Dr. Crawford during my annual checkup disclosed to me that my AC1 was 6.1 and that I had pre-diabetes. I was 63 years old at the time, 6’ 1” and weighed a little over 200 pounds. All my life I ate whatever I wanted and I was always a big eater. In my previous check-ups my A1C’s were inching up by I chose to ignore them. However this time maybe because my brother and father… See more
I came under Dr. Crawford's care several years ago when I "aged out" of military health care. I didn't want a "group" arrangement for care, did enough of that for over 40 years. I met with Dr. Crawford and immediately knew this was the right choice. He reminded me of my doctor in rural Ohio as a kid many years ago. I knew this was a man I could trust and whose… See more
Dr. Crawford has been our family physician for over 30 years. He's shared our joys, our sorrows, and everything in between. Words cannot express our gratitude and how blessed we are to have a kind, thoughtful, and professional doctor like Dr. Crawford. He does not rest until he can find out what is wrong. Thank you Dr. Crawford for everything and may God continue to bless you.
Just wanted to thank Dr. Crawford for his thoughtfulness with numerous home health tips, tricks and advice that enhance his medical treatment. Many of these simple measures can make a real difference in the final outcome of treatment.
I really appreciate being able to see Dr. Crawford without a long delay or contact him immediately in an emergency at any time.
