Wonderful Prediction / Response of Dread

As you will read, I unfortunately don't believe I've grasped the most descriptive words possible to set forth the marked contrast in my testimonial's title.

I attended Dr. Oesch's post physical exam explanatory session for my wife (a retired physician) in which there was banter back-and-forth between them over the values in her exam. When my session came, I emphasized that due to my lack of a medical background, he needn't go into such depth, but he still did so.

Towards my session's conclusion, Dr. Oesch asked if I knew my ancestors' origins and the meaning of the positioning of my values being almost exclusively midline. I responded with the smorgasbord of my ancestor's European origins and simply remarked I guessed it was a "good deal" that my values were well within acceptable ranges. In response Dr. Oesch became quite animated when he stated due to my ancestor's genetics, he felt it was likely I would live to be 100. My immediate gut reaction was, "oh no, my money will run out!" The perplexed expression on Dr. Oesch's face caused me to immediately retrack my spontaneous outburst, but I could both see and hear that I had shocked both he and my wife into hysterical laughter.

What a putz, huh?
