Thanks for being a good friend and an excellent physician who cares about his patients

As best as can remember, I first encountered you as a physician when I checked into St. Joseph's in Savannah with chest problems. I needed someone with your qualifications to supervise my diabetic condition while undergoing treatment for heart problems. I have some memory lapses, but I remember one day that a different doctor came and said i'm subbing for Bubba. I said quietly to myself, do I really have a doctor named Bubba? since that time we have gone through two angioplasties, 4 bypasses, several back surgeries, and prostate cancer. That first encounter was in 1992. I have come to appreciate you as my doctor and a friend. You once said to me and I think really mostly in jest, that I would live a long time if you looked after me. Well, you lived up to that and between the two of us, I have managed to live longer than I ever imagined and am still able to do many things I could do at age 50 when I retired from Piggly Wiggly Southern and went into the insurance business. Thanks for being a good friend and an excellent physician who cares about his patients in a holistic manner and not just for physical ailments.
