Thank you Dr Breytenbach for taking the extra step
In 1978, Professor Tom Stamey performed his “Stamey Procedure” on me at Stanford University Medical School.
I subsequently suffered at least a dozen procedures attempting to recover sutures and Dacron Pledgets which migrated around my body.
The Sutures and Pledgets wreaked havoc which then required additional surgical intervention attempting to repair the damage.
I have also suffered from dozens if not hundreds of UTI’s.
Dr Breytenbach, being thoughtful and analytical, was dissatisfied with just treating the infections and requested an Ultrasound.
The Ultrasound revealed an “object” in my bladder which could be a stone or a Suture which has calcified.
Thanks to Dr. Breytenbach’s research, a CT scan will now be done to determine exactly what next course of action is required.
Thank you, Dr Breytenbach for taking that extra step. This could be life-changing.
