Suze's 23-year Diabetes Story

When I was first diagnosed with diabetes, I went to an endocrinologist who was new to a firm that had been around for a while already! I ended up also getting diagnosed with thyroid issues. For 21 years I was not able to control my A1C and blood sugars. My doctor kept prescribing more and more insulins and not finding the problem. My husband encouraged me to change doctors and in 2022, I finally switched to Dr. Max Peralta. Within 5 months of changing doctors my A1C went from 9.3 to 7.2. He worked with me to reduce my insulin intake, prescribing medication that would give me the boost I needed to lose weight, and be more self conscious of my health. I love that he's on speed dial should I need his assistance. Ilove that my appointments are important to him and he takes the time to listen to me. He's beyond awesome!
