More Than Our Doctor

Dr. Alan Smith has been our family doctor for more than 20 years even before MDVIP. He knows not just our medical situations, but also our backgrounds, histories, cares and concerns, as well as problems we have encountered with less perceptive medical professionals. When my husband had to have unexpected open heart surgery, I was stressed with trying to understand all that was involved and dealing with a surgeon I had never met before and who did not appreciate me asking questions. Thankfully, Dr. Smith was able to get involved and the issues were resolved. Dr. Smith is our wonderful family doctor, but also a friend and our anchor as we get older in the rapidly changing medical world.
