Dr. Kanovsky has been my cardiologist and primary care doctor for almost 10 years. I was in relatively good health at that time but my heart condition degraded to a rare but underdiagnosed disease, ATTR-CM along with a left ventricular dilation about a year ago. Dr. Kanovsky had been testing for, monitoring, and treating me for a mild decrease in pumping function for a couple years, but this condition worsened in August 2021 when I came in for a routine exam complaining of shortness of breath. Dr. Kanovsky made the ATTR diagnosis with the help of his talented network of specialists that he called in to identify and treat my condition, and set me on a path to good heart health. I was able to get the necessary medication to stop the formation of TTR - recently approved for use by the FDA - and a cocktail of meds to treat my dilation, along with cardioverter/defibrillator. Dr. Kanovsky made this happen immediately. As a result my ATTR condition has been effectively stopped in its tracks and the symptoms from my weakening heart beat have been improving steadily. Had I not been in Dr. Kanovsky's care my condition might have progressed to the point where it would have been irreversible. I may owe Dr. Kanovsky my life! I would also like to recognize his assistant Jini Baldonado for her professionalism and reliability. Jin has been there since I became an MDVIP patient and she's been looking after me for in-office testing, vaccinations, scheduling, and a number of other services.
