It was 1984. I went to my Gynecologist for a check-up & was told I had Fibroid& to come back in 6 months for a follow-up. I wasn't very comfortable with her diagnosis & decided to get a second opinion. At the time I didn't have a primary are Physician so I made an appointment with my Mother's, which turned out to be the best decision of my life. That is how I met Doctor Tom Pitoscia. He had me get other tests & correctly diagnosed Ovarian Cancer. I was operated on shortly after & went through a series of Chemotherapy which at the time seemed worse than the Cancer. I have been tested starting every 3 months, then 6 months, now once a Year. I am now Cancer free & enjoying my 4 children & 9 grandchildren all because Dr. Tom saved my life!
