I first saw Dr. Morrissette at Midlothian Family Practice in 2010. I forget what problem I had that brought me there but the experience changed my life. Since this was the first time he had seen my chart, he recorded his comments concerning my history and noticed I had not had a physical exam in more than 10 years. He said that he did not want me to leave before making an appointment. He said don't say you will do it later because you won't. Well, I did schedule one. The result was that my PSA was elevated. They recommended that I see a urologist (Dr. Rollins). I had a second test with him a month later. Finally I had a biopsy which showed that I had prostate cancer. Fortunately, it was early stage and self contained. I had successful surgery in March 2011 and almost 3 years later my PSA is 0. I feel good and fortunately have not had any major complications. I may very well owe Dr. Morrissette my life.
