In Gratitude

I first met Dr. Gerard Boynton in 2016. I had just returned from a business trip to San Francisco, where I had become acutely ill with pyelonephritis and had to be admitted to the ER at UCSF for 8 hours. After treatment with fluids and antibiotics, I was anxious to catch my flight home to south Texas. The MD treating me said he would release me to travel, but only if I got immediate follow up testing and care at home. We had recently moved there and I had been seen at a clinic but my usual doctor was away on vacation and the one seeing her cases refused to see me on an emergency basis. In desperation, I found MDVIP online, signed up and through them met Dr. Boynton for an initial consultation to see if we were a good fit. I told my story to this kind man who listened quietly to every word. He told me I needed to go immediately down the hall for a urinalysis and he would take care of it, whether or not I decided to become his patient. The lab work came back with good results and I was overwhelmed with relief and gratitude. My husband and I have been patients of his since that day and literally trust him with our lives. He's a family physician in every way when I thought they no longer existed. We are so grateful to have found him.
