Dr. Colton as my primary care physician is the fact that he is always accessible when I need him.
The continuing advantage with having Dr. Colton as my primary care physician is the fact that he is always accessible when I need him. Office visits are arranged promptly and he is very responsive to emails. In the office there is seldom a wait, he is attentive during the visit, never rushed, and communicates clearly. I have confidence in his medical expertise.
A couple of instances of particular note related to some significant surgery done on my back (as a result of my chronic infection of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa) at an offsite location:
One of the home IV medications recommended by the Infectious Disease consulting doctor was Dapromycin. After using it for 8 days it caused lung pneumonitis. On a Saturday Doctor Colton acted as the admitting physician to the ER of our local hospital, had a series of tests run, and prescribed medications. He personally spent the better part of that Saturday and the following Sunday looking over me. And he kept in constant touch during an ensuing period at home (arranging for oxygen, et al).
There were 4 JP canisters to collect drainage from the surgery area. After 9 weeks the last canister was ready to be disconnectedof course this occurred on a holiday weekend. Dr. Colton had me come to his office on Thanksgiving Day morning and he removed the canister. I was more than appreciative of his over the top support.
