A++++ Doctor Paul Smith

I have been with my doctor, Paul Smith in Reno Nevada since before even he became a doctor with the MD VIP program. I believe it’s been more than 20 years. I recall back when he became a doctor with MD VIP, and went out on his own from a very popular group of doctors, they were a bit harsh on him, and we’re sure that he would fail. I followed him to his own practice, and to the contrary, the MD VIP style of care has flourished because of doctors like Paul Smith and I believe he was a founding member here in our area. He has been there for me in a personal manner like it should be for every patient. I change insurance or whatever I have to do to make sure I can stay with Dr. Smith. There are so many multiple stories, but 2 stories in particular stand out for me, because it speaks so highly of how he treats his patients. I was on vacation out of state and I forgot my critical medication. I was freaking out when I texted him early the first morning I realized I had forgotten it. I texted him around 9 in the morning. And within 15 minutes I had a text from Dr. Smith that all my prescriptions were called in and being filled at the CVS where I was sitting in the parking lot. I went in and my weeks supply were there. That is how everything goes with my medical issues with Dr. Smith. He knows me in every way he should and and I am so grateful and it is such a relief to have that kind of doctor in such a personal way. He makes me feel like I am his only patient! The second story is a story that I have personal knowledge about even though it is not about me. Dr. Smith had an elderly patient who missed his appointment and Dr. Smith was very worried when his office could not reach the gentleman so Dr. Smith drove to the man’s house to check on him as he could not reach the man’s emergency contact either. After quite an ordeal.(which I won’t go through all the details, but there are many) Dr. Smith was able to gain entry into the home because he was afraid the gentleman was in distress or worse. The older gentleman was there, but had not heard the phone or the door because of his hearing loss, and had forgotten about his appointment. The man was so grateful to know that someone would care enough to make sure he was OK and did not just ignore the fact that the man had missed his appointment, The elderly man couldn’t believe it and I also was totally amazed at the effort Dr. Smith went through to ensure his patient was OK. It is unheard of in this day and age for doctors to be so caring and personally involved with the care and condition of their patients, and they sure don’t make house calls anymore! There are many many more stories I could share as Dr. Smith truly is extraordinary. Dr. Smith is thorough and informative and sometimes is extremely honest with me about my health and things I should or should not be doing. I can always tell though that he is giving me the information in my best interest as he tells me in the most caring doctor patient relationship. The way he presents things just makes me want to do better for myself and for him as he tries and works so hard to keep me at my best both mentally and health-wise. I absolutely cherish dr. Smith and my MD VIP program. I don’t know how I fell into it but I am so extremely grateful. Thank you Dr. Smith and MD VIP and please don’t ever retire.❣️
