Beau Knows Medicine

In a nutshell, I was faced with an autoimmune disease. I immediately became very disease literate and researched my options for potential treatment. It became clear that my bigger fight was not my disease but rather dealing with various doctors. Nobody would listen to me and frankly, some of the things I was being told were wrong. It was clear that my doctors were not versed in my condition and were relying on outdated information. I reached out to Dr. Beau Pittman who immediately gave me the floor to explain my position and what I needed from him. He was thoughtful and kind and helped me get in front of a specialty doctor. It was such a humbling moment to actually have support. Dr. Pittman was willing to listen even though he was not familiar with my disease nor the treatment I was seeking. He is a huge reason why I am scheduled to start treatment soon. I am grateful to Dr. Pittman and plan to resume care with his office once my first round of treatments concludes. I look forward to improving my health under his guidance and can’t praise him and his staff enough.
