I had an example of a non-emergency on a Friday evening. After checking in with Dr Spafford, we were able to able to do a virtual visit to get a prescription sent to my pharmacy. The doctor had been in a movie and messaged me that when he got out, he would contact me. He did just that.
Conditions erupt on their own timetable. (which seem to happen at inopportune times... like weekends) I switched because my former provider, Methodist, was not available when we were hit with similar situations. My spouse and I were out of town in a hotel with the flu, running a 103 temp, and could not reach any live person.
Excellent quality medical care is only good when it can be accessed when you need it. The best care is useless when you get that after hours message "dial 911" or go to the emergency room and those are your only options! I have been with Dr. Spafford for a year now and I am extremely happy that we made the decision to move to his practice.
