Above and Beyond!

On a Sunday before New Year's I returned home after an out of town visit with a constant cough and overall malaise. I knew no doctor would be available, didn't want to call Dr. DeRosa's home, but was concerned that I might be seriously ill. I finally decided to call the office, hoping that perhaps my message might eventually reach the doctor. To my surprise, Dr. DeRosa answered the telephone. He said, "Why are you calling me--you never call me." After I explained, he told me to come to the office and park in the handicapped spot because of icy conditions. I happily agreed to do as he suggested. I parked where he had instructed me, and before I could leave the car, he was outside of the building to escort me in (it was icy). After examining me he called the pharmacy, told them I was on my way, He then walked me back to my car and sent me on my way. I shall never forget his concern and readiness to put everything aside to allay my fears. Noone could have been more concerned or more helpful.
