There are so many examples over the years being a patient of Dr. Stapleton (DSS) where she has shown compassion, knowledge, and professional strategy -too numerous to pick one. She always seems to care deeply about me and my health, asks about my family, understands my concerns, and has provided numerous paths to wellness which in hindsight were "right on". Dr. Stapleton has saved me two unnessary surgeries due to her connections with expert facilities, she has answered my calls at all hours when I've been in Croatia on a vacation, or driving to work in the morning thinking I'm having a stroke. Her network of supporting physicians in various specialties is also well known in the Charleston area. No matter which physician I visit, they all express high regards for DSS. A recent stay in the ER where DSS called ahead, ordered tests, and talked w/the attending, ensured I had quick and proper care. As I was being released, the attending physician said he had texted DSS on the outcome, and I explained how she is always there for her patients. He commented - "we've had a number of her patients in here and they all love her, with glowing praise". That was last week. Over the years, DSS has also shared information from various conferences she has attended or topics she has researched, due to some unique health issues I have had (high inflammation markers, a strong family history of strokes, broken heart syndrome, etc). As a patient, it further supports my confidence in her as she takes issues from her patients and learns/consults w/others in these conferences and such. In summary, I could go on and on, but I feel so lucky that I've been able to convert to MDVIP with Dr. Stapleton. I was with her in her early career, and it was important to stay with her. My biggest concern is what happens when she no longer will be practicing because there will never be another caring, professional and knowledgeable physician like our Dr. Sara Stapleton!
