My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
My MDVIP-affiliated family practice is much smaller than a traditional primary care practice with fewer than 500 adults and children. This allows me to provide you with unhurried and relaxed office visits and leads to the development of a very strong doctor-patient relationship. The result is much earlier disease detection and enhanced disease prevention. Through a more individualized and innovative approach, I am able to be your personal physician to help you be well and stay well. By utilizing nutritional education, promoting physical and mental well-being and coaching healthier lifestyle choices, I will help you to empower yourself to live your best life.
I have been named in an article in Newsday as one of the six top family physicians in the tri-state metro area. My primary care practice is located in Miller Place, New York and serves patients from all of Northeast Brookhaven, including Sound Beach, Mount Sinai, Rocky Point, Coram, Shoreham, Wading River, Ridge and Middle Island. As part of my approach to personalized medicine, I make house calls as needed. I also offer conveniences, like same- or next-day appointments that start on time, which may be found in concierge medicine practices.

Watching grandchildren can be a joy, however, when an 6 month old runs a temp of 105 you become very worried grandparents. Dr. Wasserman eased our minds explaining that in a few days a rash would probably appear and the child would be fine. Roseola was what kept us up with a crying child while her parents were away. Thank you Dr. Wasserman for your sincere and wonderful caring.
