My life has had the usual ups and downs: personal, professional, and health-wise. Overall, I am very blessed in many ways in each of these parts of my life and to have had the ongoing "support, advocacy, protection, and skill" of people who have contributed to me being here into old age "in the Natural" as Joel Osteen calls it. Without a doubt, when medical colleagues recommended a doctor to me a few decades ago, the name of Dr. Maria Lukowsky surfaced unanimously. From my first visit, I knew I had hit the "medical lottery." I had an exceptionally skilled and dedicated doctor with whom I felt confident and fortunate to be under her care. Dr. Lukowsky has consistently been responsive, thorough, patient, personable, precise, and knowledgeable. She is soft-mannered and unassuming and generates kindness in her voice and demeanor with a warm smile. For me, she has been successful in treating the more mundane ear aches, bursitis, side internal aches, bladder infections, bronchitis, to the more complicated pneumonia, cellulitis, edema, fractured bones, and toe infections, to name a few. The most important role she had was when I had a sepsis infection, was hospitalized in early May 2020 isolated in the heart of Covid, and was paralyzed from the waist down where my life had a 50/50 chance of survival. All of the doctors were new to me and randomly assigned by the hospital. Although she was not an assigned doctor for my case, I sought her insight and she graciously responded by being my "familiar lifeline," her words were the inspiration I needed to fight the battle to recovery. When I was transferred from the hospital to a Rehab Center, and then on home care for months, she remained connected to me and provided insights until my total discharge. How is that for commitment to a patient? OMG, she is exceptional as a professional. every day. I have treasured our relationship and enjoy every visit whether for just routine check-ups or more serious ailments. She has been a medical coach, advocate, and THE best doctor I have ever had. For me, Dr. Maria Lukowsky has been my medical guardian angel. I pray for her health, happiness, and fulfillment. I wish for everyone to have "a Dr. Maria Lukowsky" as a doctor! Dr. Maria Lukowski has been my physician for over 2 decades. She is the consummate professional—everything you could hope for in a superior physician. Of course she is technically qualified, but most importantly she has a compassionate heart and a willingness to listen and work with her patients to solve their medical issues. She is always responsive and accessible and helpful. My sister (also a long-time patient) and I deserve medical care if the highest quality and we have found it with our friend and physician, Dr. Maria Lukowski.
