My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
My goal as an internist is to partner with my patients so they can become better advocates for their healthcare needs and participate more in the medical decisions that can help them live healthier and happier lives. I manage both acute and chronic diseases and assist with end-of-life decisions. Because of my smaller practice size, I have time to closely listen to my patients and provide proactive medical recommendations and emotional support. My MDVIP-affiliated practice also offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. My greatest asset is my ability to advocate for my patients' needs, and I am available for all of their questions and concerns. As a private doctor, I coordinate care through our complex healthcare system, and in so doing, I am able to help improve the overall wellness of my patients and limit unnecessary services. I have an honest and direct approach to communication and am sensitive to the different needs and goals of individuals.
My MDVIP-affiliated internal medicine practice has earned the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Level III Certification and has repeatedly achieved above 95% nationwide for quality. This recognition acknowledges an effective way of organizing primary care that emphasizes care coordination and communication in order to transform primary care into "what patients want it to be."

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Cohn
Dr. Lillian Cohn creates a halo of integrity, intellect, truth and caring around her patients. If I were sitting on a porch across from God, I would thank her, for lending me Dr. Lillian Cohn. She is, without a doubt, a blessing in my life.
What I like most about Dr Cohn is the ease with which she interacts with me. She doesn't push me to do things that my Parkinson's Disease makes difficult for me to do but she does attempt to make certain that I get the best support from my specialists. She also urges me to achieve up to what she feels are my abilities.
Dr. Cohn has been my rock thru some very difficult personal and health problems...MANY years ago, I was a relatively new patient and went to see her again complaining of strange but terrible pain..at the time she had a resident working with her...she examined me , drew blood, and was very professional...the next day i received a phone call in the evening from Dr. Cohn...she had called to… See more
I am new to Dr. Cohn's practice and could not have asked for a better doctor. She has the rare talent of connecting with patients, understanding where they are, where they need to go and motivating them to change. She knows when to be soft and when to push.More than anything it is the strength of her knowledge, personality, ability to move past/cut through the unimportant, and use… See more
