My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
My goal as an internist is to partner with my patients so they can become better advocates for their healthcare needs and participate more in the medical decisions that can help them live healthier and happier lives. I manage both acute and chronic diseases and assist with end-of-life decisions. Because of my smaller practice size, I have time to closely listen to my patients and provide proactive medical recommendations and emotional support. My MDVIP-affiliated practice also offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. My greatest asset is my ability to advocate for my patients' needs, and I am available for all of their questions and concerns. As a private doctor, I coordinate care through our complex healthcare system, and in so doing, I am able to help improve the overall wellness of my patients and limit unnecessary services. I have an honest and direct approach to communication and am sensitive to the different needs and goals of individuals.
My MDVIP-affiliated internal medicine practice has earned the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Level III Certification and has repeatedly achieved above 95% nationwide for quality. This recognition acknowledges an effective way of organizing primary care that emphasizes care coordination and communication in order to transform primary care into "what patients want it to be."

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Cohn
Being a part of Dr. Lilian Cohn's MDVIP practice has done a great deal in reducing
the frustrations of impersonal care (just as MDVIP promised). She is excellent, very experienced and available; and having she and her staff so reachable and getting responses so quickly has reduced that anxiety of wondering if you can get to a doctor who understands your health issues when needed… See more
I met Dr. Cohn when she took over an existing practice. Fresh out of medical school and ready to conquer the world. Sort of a Jewish Mary Tyler Moore. I wondered then how I was going to adjust to a female Doctor. Well, 30+ years later we are still together and I would say it was a marriage made in heaven. She continues to be my physician friend and mentor.
Dr. Cohn's genius is in her keen understanding not only the medical situation but the psychology of her patients as well. She knows how to reach them on multiple levels and garner their appreciation of their various conditions. She is caring, persistent, knowledgeable and accessible. Dr. Cohn has used all of these tools with me, which has immeasurably improved my health.
Dr. Cohn has been one incredible doctor...she is patient, kind, understanding, caring, and most of all.....extremely knowledgeable. If someone asked me for reasons why I love my husband....one of them would be: He introduced me to Dr. Lillian Cohn.
As a relativiely new patient, I didn't know what to expect. What a rewarding experience! Dr. Cohn not only gives a personal focus at my visit, but this is coupled with her professional approach as well. She has that rare combination. She has inspired me as well to move forward with good healthy habits such as excircise and diet. I'm fortunate to have Dr. Cohn as my physician at… See more
I have been a patient of Dr. Cohn for over 20 Years. Initially,(during my invincible years), our relationship was mainly routine. Now that I have realized that I am not as invincible as I once was, I have a much better understanding and appreciation for the personal care and genuine concern that is always displayed by Dr. Cohn. She is not only a great doctor, but she is a great person, who… See more
I absolutely love Doctor LIllian!! She truly cares about my health and happiness, she gets back to me when I leave messages, she gives me rides in her car (well, once), she speaks Portuguese with me, and she is simply a fabulous person. Happy Doctor's Day!!!
When I moved to Philadelphia from Haddonfield, NJ, my doctor in Haddonfield strongly recommended Dr. Cohn. At that time, Dr. Cohn was not taking new patients, so another doctor in the city was recommended to me. Within a year or so, she contacted me to tell me that she could take me. At that point, there were several doctors in the group practice where she worked. Within a couple of years, she… See more
