Where does one begin, I have been a patient of Dr. DeAnezsis for over 10 years. When I first met her, I instantly felt a connection to her. She was relatable, honest, energetic, compassionate, knowledgeable yet, professional. Watching, her over the years trying to give the best care in an industry that is bureaucratic, full of regulations, wait time and endless insurance protocols is disparaging . She would never have an enough time, because she had to meets the numbers was stressful for a patient and for the doctor too. I don't like to go to hospitals because of the endless burden I see our system experiencing. For us who pay for our insurance not being able to get the care we need is upsetting. When Dr. DeAnzeris, said she was leaving the hospital, I cried and became angry to think this is what medicine has come too. I knew I had to follow her. Going with Dr. DeAnzeris, is a blessing. She has more time to spend giving the care I know she wants to give. To be able to give an appointment right away, having access 7 days a week without the hassle of having to go to the ER if for example; when I got poison ivy on my face or a burn on my hand and could get a prescription called in for simple aliments right away is real blessing. DR. DeAnzeris is, always available , prompt answering questions, gets an appointment to a specialist immediately is so reassuring . My whole family sees her, and we all love her and are grateful for the care she gives to us. I'm so happy to be with Dr. DeAnzeris and MDVIP for all the care they give to their patients and trying to make things easier in this endless sea of mismanaged health care. I will always follow Dr. DeAnzeris as long as she practices medicine.

when I unknowingly broke my hand, my doctor not only referred me to an great hand surgeon, but her staff set up the appointment for me, sparing me the hassle of me having to getting through layers of admin to explain the problem and make an appointment. Meet Kathryn DeAnzeris, MD

My path to becoming an internal medicine doctor is grounded in my own family’s values and my desire to use my strong communication skills and approachability in caring for patients. I believe that our whole is indeed “the sum of our parts,” and I thrive on working with patients to achieve the goal of being physically active and emotionally balanced – creating the ideal conditions to advance their health. Prevention has always been the cornerstone of my practice.

As a female primary care doctor, I fulfill a critical need and provide care in the community where I live (Metrowest). Many of my patients are friends and neighbors. I am locally trained. I earned my medical degree at University of Massachusetts Medical School and did my medical training at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital Residency Program, including a year as Chief Resident. I have particular interests in women’s health and preventive medicine, as well as management of chronic diseases, including obesity, hypertension and diabetes. I joined Newton-Wellesley Hospital (now part of the Mass General Brigham system) after completing my residency in 2005 and have strong and continuing relationships with specialists at these institutions. My supportive and welcoming approach to caring for patients has earned me Boston Top Doctor recognition annually since 2017.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
