I'm not used to being told that I can't do something I want to do, so, you can imagine my shock when I was told that Dr. Freeman's office was closed to new patients. But, luckily for me, she had an opening, and I had a strong referral from one of my Specialist Doctors. I've been in business myself for 45 years, and know what good customer service is. And, know that you don't find it very often. But, that's the exception in Dr. Freeman's practice. She is a really good Doctor, and has a very efficient and caring staff. When she was away on vacation, which she doesn't take that often, one morning I couldn't get out of bed, I was so dizzy. I called Dr. Freeman's office, and was told that her back-up Doctor would see me, which he did within one hour. He was so professional, and kind, and prescribed medication that solved my problem within a very short time. I was so relieved, and so appreciative that Dr. Freeman is my MDVIP Doctor. She has a system for seeing you, and testing you for any issues, and she explains everything, and gives you options about alternatives. I consider myself very fortunate to have this kind of care. My philosophy is that patients should be active participants in their own health to the best of their abilities. Engaging my patients in establishing a plan of care is paramount. I feel my job is to not only diagnose and treat, but to help educate and guide patients through the complexity of today's health care system. I aim to partner with my patients to solve their medical problems, and to also prevent problems through wellness counseling and early interventions.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
