My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

As a primary care physician, I am committed to helping you and all of my patients live fuller, happier and healthier lives. In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I make sure every patient receives all of the time and one-on-one attention required for me to respond to his or her unique health needs. Practicing good medicine includes a partnership between doctor and patient. I enjoy coaching patients through health issues and concerns so they fully understand their health and my proposed treatment plans. Similar to concierge medicine practices, I also offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments that start on time. No matter what life stage or general health condition you find yourself in, we will work together to formulate a personalized wellness plan that puts you in charge of your health and maximizes quality of life through every chapter of your life.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Cunningham

from Clark in RI February 11, 2024 for David F. Cunningham, MD

I began seeing Dr. David Cunningham after years seeing a succession of other doctors for a serious lung complaint that had never been properly diagnosed. Dr. Cunningham immediately found a specialist at a major hospital who had tests done, arrived at a correct diagnosis, and prescribed treatment that has restored my health. Throughout this time, Dr. Cunningham stayed in contact with the… See more

In 2022 I had a petscan to check for a few concens. The petscan showed unidentified spots in my right lung. My doctor Dr David Cunningham was very concerned, called me to explain and immediately found me a specialist, I had an appointment within a week. Fortunately the spots appear to be benign and I continue to see the specialist yearly. This is something I may not have followed up on without… See more

I am 82 years old and in pretty good health for my age. However, I had been feeling very tired and couldn't figure out why, so during one of my examinations I mentioned to my Dr and he sent me for a blood test. He called me with the results and said everything was ok except my iron was very high and asked if I had been taking any iron pills. I told him no, and he said he was going to… See more

It is not "a" story, it's an on going story. Whenever I have a test, blood work for something, an mri or any non office medical data set, my doctor always, repeat, always calls me the day he recieves the data to discuss the ramifications with me, whether good, bad or indifferent. He understands that a patient's unease absent knowledge is stressful, whether warranted or not… See more
